A few lightning bolts for your enjoyment…

Let’s keep this one quick and simple: there’s been a pretty fruitful period of lightning in the region! I’ve had a few good days in a row in New Mexico and I’m gearing up for yet another today.

As I wrote in “Lessons Learned” I have been learning A LOT about this pattern and how to best approach it. One of the best lessons I’ve gotten so far is to be patient and wait until a bit later in the day to leave.

So with that, I’m going to go clean some house, eat some lunch then hit the road!

Lightning strikes near Zia Pueblo, photo taken from Rio Rancho, New Mexico. I need to work this area more but its a bit harder with limited areas to shoot. What a view to the NW though!
