It snowed in April and I didn’t mind it!

Snowscapes in Tijeras Canyon, New Mexico | 4/13/20

I am going to come clean and say the last couple of weeks have been pretty difficult for me. Over and over again I found myself worrying about things which I have absolutely no control over. This added stress caused me to have a pretty bad episode late last week which had reverberations into the weekend.

But today things changed for me as snowflakes began to fall. I’m not much of a winter girl for sure, but today the snow just hit a chord with me. Suddenly the things I was worried about began to wash away and I had a joyous day working on projects and watching snowflake after snowflake fall to the ground at my house.

I could have focused on the fact that it is April and only just a few days ago I was outside in summer gear — I could have focused on the terrible news of the day. But today, I managed to just focus on the beauty of the day.

I don’t know where you are and what you are going through, but I hope that you found some solace in your day today as well. I hope this video gives you just over a minute of peaceful rest to enjoy some beauty.
